The women of Team U.S.A. united to show their support for each other as they prepared for the upcoming Olympics in Paris, and fans were thrilled by the surge of “girl power” showcased in the energetic video.

The Instagram clip, posted on July 25, featured the U.S. Olympic Women’s Gymnastics Team—Sunisa Lee, Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Simone Biles, and Hezly Rivera—playing an upbeat version of the viral TikTok game “pass the phone.” In the popular game, a person films themselves saying “I’m passing the phone to” before revealing something funny or embarrassing about the person they are passing the imaginary phone to.

In the clip, Biles and the team put a spin on the viral TikTok fad by using the moment to uplift and inspire their fellow teammates. Biles, 27, kicked the video off by shouting,”We’re the U.S. Women’s Gymnastics team, and we’re passing the phone to the U.S. Water Polo team,” before the entire team cheered in unison,”Go, U.S.A.!”

The Women’s Water Polo team, featuring goalies Ashleigh Johnson and Amanda Longan, attackers Maddie Musselman, Rachel Fattal, and Kaleigh Gilchrist, and captain Maggie Steffens, took up the phone next. They continued the trend by sending their support and love to the U.S. Women’s Indoor Volleyball team, which includes Jordan Larson, Chiaka Ogbogu, Haleigh Washington, Jordyn Poulter, Justine Wong-Orantes, Annie Drews, Jordan Thompson, Lauren Carlini, Kathryn Plummer, Avery Skinner, and Dana Rettke.

The Women’s Rugby team, the Women’s Field Hockey Team and the U.S. 3×3 Women’s Basketball Team were also featured in the fun video, according to the post.

Fans flocked to the comments section, enamored by the love, support and respect seen among the women of Team U.S.A.

“It’s giving girl power,” the USA Gymnastics official Instagram page penned.

This year marks a groundbreaking moment in the Olympics, as female athletes will now have equal representation alongside their male counterparts on the world’s premier athletic stage during the Paris Olympics set to take place July 26 to August 11. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has committed to advancing gender inclusivity, resulting in a more balanced competition format.

For the Paris 2024 Games, 28 out of 32 sports will feature full gender parity. The event schedule will also include 152 women’s events, 157 men’s events, and 20 mixed-gender events, reflecting a significant step towards a more equitable Olympic experience.

Congrats to all of the teams!
