Paynesville and Nsoatreman put one foot in the preliminary second round of the CAF Confederation Cup after recording big wins on Sunday, while ASC Jaraaf, Al Ahli Tripoli and Dynamos also made a positive start.

Paynesville ran out convincing 4-0 victors over Fovu Club in the first leg of their preliminary first-round clash at the SKD Stadium in Monrovia.

Nsoatreman impressed on their continental debut after cruising to a 3-0 win over Elect Sport at the Accra Sports Stadium, with Al Ahli Tripoli triumphing 2-0 against Uhamiaji at the Tripoli Stadium.

Dynamos edged ZESCO United 1-0 at the Botswana National Stadium in Gaborone and ASC Jaraaf beat East End Lions by the same scoreline away from home at the Bo Stadium.

The tie between Administration Police and Ethiopian Coffee is delicately poised after they played out to a goalless draw at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi and AS FAN have the upper hand thanks to scoring two away goals in a 2-2 stalemate with ASC Kara at the Stade de Kegue in Lome.

Meanwhile, Etoile Filante gave themselves hope to progressing to the next round after they held Hafia to a 1-1 draw on the road at the Stade du 26 Mars in Bamako.
