Ghana football powerhouse Asante Kotoko have confirmed their return to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the remainder of the current season.
The record 24-time Ghana Premier League giants had been using the Len Clay Sports Stadium as their home venue after the closure of Baba Yara for renovation.
Kotoko have won the CAF Champions League twice and were adjudged the African club of the century by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
“We are pleased to announce our return to the Baba Yara Stadium for our remaining home matches of the season,” a club statement.
“This decision was arrived at following an official communication from the National Sports Authority indicating the completion of maintenance work at our historic home venue.”
Kotoko are currently placed seventh in the Ghanaian Premier League standings – five points behind leaders Bibiani Gold Stars with 22 matches left.
