Ethiopian online and Visa on Arrival services

Why do Ethiopian E-Visa and visa on Arrival Suspended?

Ethiopian Immigration Agency issues evisa and visa on arrival to all foreign nations want to enter Ethiopia for different purposes. So, foreign passengers apply online to request an Ethiopian visa either before departure or on the arrival at Bole International airport. Travelers also apply for visas according to their purpose of travel. But, why do Ethiopian E-visa and visa on arrival temporarily suspended?

However, Ethiopian Immigration Agency is currently suspended online applications for visa inquires since the website is under construction. The Agency also did not announce resuming time of the service. But the agency official announced to contact nearby Ethiopian Embassies or Consular Offices for those who need Ethiopian visa to enter Ethiopia.

The Ethiopian Embassy of USA has announced to Ethiopian living in the USA can get a visa from the Embassy in Washington D.C. or Ethiopian Consulate offices in LA, MN, or NY, in person or by mail. As well, tourists and business travelers can request an Ethiopian visa from these embassies.
