    Dozens killed as unrest spreads in South Africa

     

    In tonight’s edition: The death toll from South Africa’s unrest climbs to 72, with the army sent in to help quell the violence sparked by the jailing of former president Jacob Zuma last week. Also, eight months of clashes in Ethiopia’s Tigray region continue to endanger the lives of civilians. Millions are in need of emergency food assistance. The World Food Programme has managed to deploy 50 trucks to the region, but says many more are needed. Finally, we meet some of those who will be competing in Tokyo under the banner of the Refugee Olympic Team.
