KENYA
COVID-19 protocols and screening —–
- Click here for the list of quarantine exempt countries.
- All international travelers are required to submit their Covid-19 test certificates before arriving in Kenya, in order to generate a Trusted Travel (TT) code.
- You can click here to create your TT account, upload your PCR test certificate and generate the TT code.
- International travelers must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test on arrival, even if in transit, and the test must have been done within 96 hours prior to departure from their home country.
- Arriving passengers will be screened for any COVID-19 symptoms.
- All passengers arriving in Kenya must complete the Travelers Health Surveillance Form by the Ministry of Health and he form must be completed online prior to disembarkation.
- Passengers will receive a QR code after completing the form and will be required to display it to a Port Health Official to proceed through immigration.
- Strict infection prevention and control measures have to be followed: social distancing, good hand hygiene, and the wearing of masks remain mandatory.
- All travelers who require a visa must obtain it online prior to arrival.

SOUTH AFRICA
COVID-19 protocols and screening —-
South Africa is currently on an adjusted Level 4 Lockdown Regulation from June 28 to July 11. A curfew is in place from 9pm to 4am with restaurants and pubs closing at 8 pm. Restaurants are only allowed to sell take-aways or do deliveries. If a flight arrives during curfew hours, passengers may need to show proof of their boarding passes or flight tickets if stopped by law enforcement en route to the airport, hotel or home. The province of Gauteng is closed for leisure travel but transiting via Johannesburg airport is allowed. All gatherings are prohibited and alcohol sales for on-site and off-site consumption is prohibited. Museums, gyms, casinos and cinemas are all closed. Accommodation may only offer room service and delivery of food.
- All travelers must present a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate, obtained not more than 72 hours from the day of departure.
- All travelers must complete a Traveler Health Questionnaire not more than 2 days before arriving – the same applies when departing South Africa.
- Travelers will be asked to download the COVID Alert South Africa mobile app.
- Travelers will be screened for any COVID-19 symptoms.
- Quarantine is not mandatory unless travelers fail to present a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test, display any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with an infected person. A mandatory COVID-19 test will be required at their own cost and if positive, travelers will be subjected to a 10-day quarantine at a designated site, at their own cost.

RWANDA
COVID-19 protocols and screening —-
- All travelers must present a printed copy of their negative PCR Test issued within 72 hours prior to arrival. Rapid Diagnostics Tests (RDT) are not accepted
- Travelers must complete the Passenger Locator Form prior to arrival and upload their COVID-19 test certificate via https://travel.rbc.gov.rw/travel/formstart.php
- All travelers will be screened upon arrival and take a mandatory PCR test at the airport at a cost of USD 60 per person per test, paid directly. Travelers must wait 24 hours in a designated transit hotel while waiting on the test results before continuing onwards with their travel. Test results can be check on https://his.hmis.moh.gov.rw/results/
- All travelers from India are required to complete 7 days in mandatory quarantine at a designated hotel at their own cost.
- Travelers will be treated in line with Rwanda’s COVID-19 management guidelines if they test positive, even if asymptomatic, until they have fully recovered, at their own cost.
- All travelers departing from Rwanda must present a negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure.
- Preventive measures must be followed while travelling in Rwanda, including physical distancing; wearing of face masks and hand hygiene.
- Travelers who are visiting any national park in Rwanda, are required to schedule their visit within 72 hours of receiving a negative PCR test result. If their visit/s are more than 72 hours after the initial test on arrival in Rwanda, travelers will be required to take another COVID-19 test before visiting any of the national parks
- A curfew is currently in place between 10pm – 4am

NAMIBIA
COVID-19 protocols and screening —-
- The Namibian government has implemented a curfew from 10pm to 4am with restaurants and pubs closing at 8 pm. Alcohol sales is only allowed from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday.
- All travelers must present a negative PCR COVID-19 test result, not older than 7 days. Antigen Rapid Diagnostic Test results will no longer be accepted for entry
- Travelers must submit their full itinerary on arrival and will be subject to health screenings.

UGANDA
COVID-19 protocols and screening —-
- Arriving travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate, obtained within 72 hours of departure for Uganda.
All travelers from India, the USA, UK, UAE, Turkey, South Africa, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Sudan and Tanzania must undergo a PCR COVID-19 test upon arrival in Uganda at a cost of USD 65 per person and any traveler who tests positive must quarantine in a government-designated facility at their own cost. - Travelers who have received their full Covid-19 vaccinations will be allowed to enter the country without further testing upon arrival, except travelers from India.
- All departing travelers must show a negative COVID-19 PCR test result, issued within 120 hours of departing from Uganda.

- Travelers must present a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test result, obtained within 72 hours of departure for Botswana.
- All travelers will be screened upon arrival and take a mandatory rapid antigen test (free of charge) on arrival.
- On departure, all travelers must present a negative Covid-19 test result obtained within 72 hours of departure.
- Travelers showing symptoms of COVID-19 will be required to undergo a PCR test and quarantine for 10 – 14 days

ZAMBIA
COVID-19 protocols and screening —-
- All travelers must present a negative COVID-19 test certificate, obtained within 72 hours of arriving in Zambia.
- Travelers arriving from a High Risk country, even if fully vaccinated, must undergo a PCR test at their own expense on arrival
- Unvaccinated travelers from a High Risk country must undergo a PCR test on arrival at their own expense and self-isolate at their destination or a Government approved hotel while waiting for their PCR results
- Departing travelers will only require a negative Covid-19 test certificate if they destination country or airline requires it.
- If travelers show any signs of COVID-19, they will be required to quarantine for 14 days

TANZANIA
COVID-19 protocols and screening —-
- All travellers into Tanzania must now provide a printed copy of their negative PCR Test issued within 72 hours prior to arrival.
- Travelers are required to complete a online Health Surveillance Form within 24 hours before arrival in Tanzania:https://afyamsafiri.moh.go.tz/ With the 24 hour window period being tricky for long-haul travellers, they will be assisted with filling out the form on arrival, either online or with pen and paper.
- Travelers will receive a Unique Health Code that must be presented on arrival at their health screening.
- All travelers must take a Rapid Antigen Test on arrival at a cost of approximately USD 25 per person and payable directly by travelers
- All visas must be applied for online
- While in Tanzania, visitors will be expected to adhere to full protective measures against the spread of COVID-19.
- The only travelers subject to quarantine at the moment are travelers from India
