MANCHESTER UNITED 4-0 EVERTON
It’s a comfy win for Manchester United.
A mistake by Jordan Pickford permitted Mason Greenwood to tap United into an early lead, before Harry Maguire thundered house a header for their second.
It was 3-0 prior to half-time when Bruno Fernandes sent out a wonderful free-kick over the wall and beyond Pickford.
A myriad of substitutions in the second period took the drain of the video game but Diogo Dalot had the last word when his header looped over Asmir Begovic with practically the final touch of the video game.
An excellent afternoon’s work for the Red Devils ahead of next weekend’s seasonal opener versus Leeds, but Everton will be fretted by their display, particularly in the first 45 minutes.
The visit of former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez wasn’t well gotten by some areas of the Everton faithful and the Spaniard will need to leave to an excellent start to win them over.
The Toffees host Southampton on Saturday.
