In scenarios of seeking help from the locals, travelers are advised to first greet these fellows because it is cherished and a norm in their culture. After assistance, you can tip them as a way of showing gratitude but this not mandatory.

Uganda has half of the rare mountain gorillas in the whole world

Drive with an international driver’s license

According to The Uganda Guide, the requirements for driving in Uganda are so simple. You only need to have an international driver’s license to get behind the wheel and cruise off to anywhere you wish to visit. When the traffic officer stops you to check if you are fit to drive, just present your international driver’s license. No further document will be asked from you.

Additionally, foreign driver’s licenses can be used in Uganda for all foreign visitors. You are allowed to drive in Uganda with your home license for up to 3 months. With such an easy requirement of driving away from home why not take up a self-drive trip to enjoy the wonders of Uganda

Best self-drive off-road destinations (National Parks)

Once you leave the main highways and drive off-road for a few kilometers, you encounter Uganda’s natural treasures hidden in the quiet forests and savannah grasslands.
