CurlCap has become the first Black woman-owned hair apparel brand to be licensed to use Disney’s logos and characters on its merchandise. The company, founded by Britney Sadé, makes satin-lined ball caps designed to accommodate natural curly hair with an open back.

CurlCaps with Mickey and Minnie ears are now available for purchase. WDW News Today reports that there are three Disney design options. “The first is an entirely solid black hat with Mickey ears and Mickey’s face embroidered on the side.

“A similar design has a red brim with white dots like Mickey’s shorts. Finally, there is a Minnie Mouse hat that is solid black, but has a red and white polka dot Minnie bow between the ears,” the outlet writes.

Also, non-Disney CurlCaps are also available at CurlCap.com in several different colors.

“I am truly honored to have this opportunity and I can thank you all for the support,” Sadé wrote on Instagram. “I am truly grateful. It has not been easy but it has been worth it thus far. I’m so excited to see what’s next for us. To represent Black Hair Care in this way is a testament of my history and something I truly hold dear to my heart.”

“Thank you so much for being a part of history,” she wrote.
