#OccupyJulorbiHouse is the current themes of protests going on around the world in critique of the corrupt policies on the current NPP government and president Nana Akufo-Addo. The #OccupyJulorBiHouse and protest was created by Democracy Hub Gh and began in Ghana on 21st September 2023 and lasted 3 days in Ghana.
The protest was orchestrated to host a walk from 37 bus station in Ghana, where protestors will march to Ghana’s presidential House ‘The Jubilee House’.

The words JulorBi House is a derriviation of the term Jubilee house which means son (Bi) of a thief (julor) in the Ga language. The protest in Ghana exploded when the Ghanaian police arrested members on the first day. This will then further encourage thousands of people to eventually join in on the latter days, including influencers and celebrities.

Due to our developments in Accra Fashion Week 2023, we weren’t able to bring you updates. However, not only did the protest extend beyond protestors that are experiencing the harsh end of the failing Ghanaian economy, but it also got embraced by disgruntled Ghanaians in other countries, including London and Germany.

As of yesterday, Ghanaians in the USA also took to the streets to make their voices heard. The protest took place yesterday at 3pm at the Ghana Consulate, 19 E 47th Street New York, with young enthusiasts who believe in changing the country taking to the streets and voicing their opinions.
The team held signs with messages such as ‘Adopt A New Constitution’, ‘Fix Feeder Roads to Support Agriculture’, ‘Pay Pensioners’, ‘Ghana Must Work For Ghana’, ‘Fix The Country’ and much more. Watch a couple of the front runners speak into the megaphone below.
