We’ll start our adventure in Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant capital, before heading to Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. After crossing into Uganda, we’ll unwind by the beautiful Lake Bunyoni and trek into the depths of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to meet the magnificent gorillas.
Our journey continues with thrilling safaris in Lake Mburo and Murchison Falls National Park, rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, and chimpanzee trekking in Budongo Forest. We’ll conclude our adventure in Jinja, known as the adventure capital of East Africa, before flying out of Entebbe on the shores of Lake Victoria.

Explore Rwanda’s Beautiful Capital City, Kigali
Known as the “Singapore of Africa,” Kigali is a clean, modern, and incredibly safe city that’s a joy to explore. Dive into the bustling Nyamirambo neighbourhood, known for its vibrant culture and lively streets. Visit a local arts centre to discover Rwanda’s creative side, stroll through the city’s main hotspots, and take time to reflect at the Kigali Genocide Memorial – a powerful and moving tribute to the nation’s history.



Adventure Awaits in Musanze
Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park, offers a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and stunning natural beauty. Surrounded by the dramatic Virunga Mountains, it’s an adventurer’s dream. Challenge yourself with a hike up Mount Bisoke, visit Dian Fossey’s grave to pay tribute to her incredible work, or explore the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund.
For a more relaxed experience, head to the serene twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera for a boat tour and community walk. Immerse yourself in Rwandan culture by learning to cook traditional dishes, drum, dance, or try your hand at weaving baskets and making pottery with local women. Musanze truly has something for everyone!



Relax at Beautiful Lake Bunyoni
We’ll cross the border into Uganda and head to the breathtaking Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s most serene and stunning spots where you can start your day with a refreshing swim in the lake!
Whilst we’re here, we’ll head out on a boat tour of Lake Bunyonyi’s picturesque islands with my friend Josh and along the way, you’ll learn about the lives of the local communities who call the lake home and help prepare and enjoy a delicious ‘Rolex’ lunch – a Ugandan favourite!



Go Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Next up is Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a lush and ancient rainforest that’s truly one of Uganda’s most extraordinary treasures. This incredible UNESCO World Heritage Site is famously home to the endangered mountain gorillas, and you’ll have the once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet them face-to-face.
After a hike through the jungle, you’ll have around an hour with the gorillas, watching their behaviour, taking in their quiet strength, and marvelling at just how similar they are to us. And when one looks you directly in the eye, it’s like the world stops – a true ‘pinch me’ moment that will leave you speechless. This experience is one of the most unforgettable encounters nature has to offer, and you’ll carry it with you forever.



Discover the Charm of Lake Mburo
Journey to the tranquil haven of Lake Mburo, where serene landscapes and unforgettable experiences await. Stroll through a local village at sunset, try your hand at herding Uganda’s iconic Ankole cows, and immerse yourself in the heart of rural life.
Wake up to adventure with a guided nature walk, where you might just come face-to-face with giraffes in their natural habitat – a rare and magical moment. Between activities, unwind with a dip in the pool and soak up the peaceful vibes.
