While Simba were on the end of a 2-0 loss against RSB Berkane in the first -leg of the 2025 CAF Confederations Cup final last week, Fadlu Davids and his charges will hope to rise to the occasion when the two sides meet in the second-leg at the Amaan Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Kick-off is at 3:00pm CAT.

Goals by Mamadou Camara and Oussama Lamlaoui gifted RSB Berkane a positive advantage heading into the second-leg, while Davids felt that his side were ‘overwhelmed’ by the task at hand.

“Berkane at home scores a lot of goals in the first 20 minutes with the pressure, so we were tactically prepared, but not emotionally prepared, my players were a little bit overwhelmed by the occasion, by the pressure,” Davids said in the post-match presser after the first-leg.

While Simba need to find the back of the net in their bid to claim the CAF Confederations Cup title, RSB Berkane coach Mouin Chaâbani expressed that his side will eye an away goal to seal the deal.

“A 2-0 victory in the final is never completely comfortable. It’s the first leg and we’ll have to defend our chances until the last second in the return leg. Scoring an away goal can make a huge difference; it’s a goal we must keep in mind,” Chaâbani said.

That said, the winners of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup showpiece will be awarded with a brand new trophy.
