Registration for the Pulitzer Center’s Introduction to Reporting on AI course is open

Mark your calendar for 23 January 2025. The Pulitzer Center will be covering the history of artificial intelligence (AI), the AI life cycle, and reporting tools in a 90-minute online training session, co-organised with Africa Check and Code for Africa. This session, which forms part of the AI Spotlight Series of workshops, is for you if you are a journalist with minimal or no knowledge about AI.

The session will be led by Karen Hao, an award-winning journalist covering the impact of artificial intelligence on society. She was formerly a foreign correspondent covering China’s technology industry for the Wall Street Journal and a senior AI editor at MIT Technology Review. She will teach participants how to craft compelling AI accountability stories – from quick-turnaround reports to investigations.

The session will take place at 11 AM ET (check your local time) and is aimed at journalists based in Africa, North America, South America and Europe. Simultaneous French translation will be available during the session.
