Looking for the LATEST COVID ENTRY REQUIREMENTS to Zanzibar? Shadows of Africa has got you covered. With our team living on the ground, we are always aware of the LATEST COVID ENTRY REQUIREMENTS. For a quick overview, see below. Our safari experts are ready to give you tailored advice.

Latest Covid entry requirement summary:

  • All travellers (except children below 5 years) are now required to show a negative Covid-19 PCR certificate not older than 72 hours.
  • Upon arrival, some travellers will be subjected to rapid Covid-19 testing. The cost of this test is 25 USD and will be paid by the traveller on location. Check with your airline if this rapid test is applicable to you. (As of July 30th travellers from India, South Africa, uganda, DRC Congo, United Kingdom, USA, Peru, Brazil, Philippines or Indonesia are subjected to the test)
If you want to skip long queues for payment on arrival pre pay and book your rapid test via https://zanzibarcovidtesting.co.tz/app/home
  • A health form needs to be filled out by the traveller before landing manually. The form will be distributed on your flight.

Note: India. All flights from India were suspended and all passengers originating from India are denied entry, effective 1st May 2021.

The Tanzanian & Zanzibari government is taking the safety and health of our travellers seriously, and has implemented regulations that will help make it possible for everyone to enjoy a safe safari. Tanzania has been lucky enough to be a safe destination to visit and these new measures will ensure it will continue to be so.
