Hearts of Oak Supporters’ chief Elvis Hermann Hesse has pinned the blame on the board’s chairman, Togbe Afede XIV, for the club’s early-season woes.

The Phobians parted ways with head coach Samuel Boadu last month following a poor start to the new Ghana Premier League campaign, which saw them fail to win their opening three games.

Worse was to follow when the FA Cup champions were eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup after losing 3-1 on aggregate to AS Bamako in the second-round qualifiers.

National Chapters Committee chairman Hesse was seen arguing with board member Vincent Sowah Odotei in the VIP area at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday after their team’s exit.

Meanwhile, Odotei’s vehicle was vandalised after the match as angry supporters vented their frustrations with the club’s current predicament.

Hesse labelled Odotei and fellow board member Alhaji Akambi as lackeys, saying they should have no place at Hearts of Oak.

“The Board chairman is running the club directly and Odotei and Akambi are just messengers,” Hesse told Happy FM.

“The Board chairman should take all the blame if he gets all the accolades. If Akambi and Odotei are good he should take them to his private businesses and swap them with Hearts of Oak. The supporters cannot always be wrong.”
