With over two decades of experience as an educator and philanthropist, she has dedicated her life to uplifting underserved communities. As the director of the Foster and Kinship Care Education Program at Los Angeles Trade Technical College, she supports foster families and youth, equipping them with essential resources for growth and stability. Her work reflects her commitment to creating transformative opportunities for the next generation. In addition to her leadership in education, Dr. Washington serves as Developmental Queen Mother, or Nana Amba Otuwa I, for several communities in Ghana. In this role, she focuses on empowering teachers and fostering environments conducive to learning and development. Her efforts extend to numerous philanthropic initiatives, including the Barbara Ann McDaniel Social Service Project, which provides mentorship and resources to at-risk youth. Dr. Washington is also celebrated for her achievements in pageantry, having won an astounding 29 crowns out of 32 competitions, including prestigious titles such as Ms. Black USA and Ms. Black California. Her success in this arena reflects her resilience and determination, qualities that also shine through in her role as Senior Consultant at Quantum Leap Consulting Agency. A survivor of adversity, Dr. Washington’s life is a testament to strength and perseverance.
