Destination Weddings are weddings done outside of your hometown. It doesn’t have to be in a foreign country or even on a beach. Young people are changing the game when it comes to wedding trends and what they want for their weddings. More and more couples are choosing places that are special to them.

Times have changed, although most brides can’t fight tradition, destination weddings are the new trend. Many people think that weddings only happen in warm and tropical locations, but that’s just one of the many different options available.

A destination wedding allows couples to host their weddings at a unique location of their choice. It means the couple doesn’t want to go with tradition and wants to do it their own way. A destination wedding takes the stress out of planning a normal wedding at home with people you barely know.

Destination weddings are unique and based on the couple’s personality, preferences and interests. It involves the the bride and groom or a few friends and relatives and friends.

Although it is fun, they also have certain qualities that make them stand out from the rest. First and foremost, they are cost effective. When planning a destination wedding, many couples also travel to the same place. They then switch resorts depending on their length of stay. This is called honeymoon hopping.

7 Reasons Why Destination Weddings are Popular

1. You can save moneySure, a plane ticket costs more than a tank of gas (for now, anyway). But when it comes down to the nuts and bolts of planning, you’ll usually find cheaper all-inclusive packages abroad.

2. They are easier to planMany popular destinations will have venues and locations that plan everything for you, or provide a list of recommended local wedding planners that can help you with the details. You get to focus on the fun and important things.

3. You can have your wedding and honeymoon in one tripYou’ve just spent a lot of money on your wedding, you can save money by getting married in the perfect place for your honeymoon! When everything is over and all the guests has gone home, you can relax for a few days and enjoy the scenery with your new spouse without thinking of boarding another plane to a new destination.

4. You’ll have a more intimate wedding experienceSome brides want a smaller guest list, a destination wedding is the right choice. Usually, destination weddings are much more intimate. If attending your wedding involves a long flight and hotel accommodation, many relatives, colleagues who’re invited will probably choose not to come.

5. You can spend more time with friends and loved onesUsually your guests will want to extend their stay at a destination wedding, which means you can spend more time with them.

6. You’ll have a special place to celebrate anniversaries and other milestonesChoosing destination weddings means you will always have a favorite place to celebrate anniversaries and other important moments in your lives.

7. You’ll get unique picturesDestination weddings allows you to capture your most beautiful day surrounded by a new and unique scenery making your pictures even more special!
