In what will technically decrease as the day Cristian Romero was moved twice, the Argentine defender is now formally a Tottenham Hotspur gamer after he signed an agreement for five years.

Romero began the day on loan at Atalanta, although the club were intending to purchase him from Juventus as part of that loan agreement.

This would have taken place anyhow and all negotiations have been done between Spurs and Atalanta, with the Italian club just needing to transfer money to Juventus to keep their side of the loan arrangement, which was validated by the Bianconeri in a fiscal statement launched on Friday afternoon.

Romero follows Pierluigi Gollini and Bryan Gil through the entrance door at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Fabio Paratici already leaving his mark on the squad in his very first summer season.

At 23 years old, Romero developed significantly in his year with Atalanta, prior to he went to the Copa America and won the competition with Argentina.

Spurs are getting an aggressive defender who likes to play on the front foot and cut danger out before it is a real problem, although the club’s focus will now rely on moistening the fire regarding Harry Kane‘s possible departure.
