Orlando Pirates will take on Al Ahli Tripoli in the CAF Confederation Cup semifinals, while TP Mazembe face RS Berkane for a place in the final.

Pirates kept the dream alive as they eliminated Simba 4-3 on penalties at the Orlando Stadium on Sunday evening after winning 1-0 in the second leg of their quarterfinal tie.

Kwame Peprah scored the only goal of the game in the 60th minute to level the aggregate score at 1-1 and Richard Ofori was the hero in shootout, saving one and scoring himself to clinch Bucs’ place in the last four.

Earlier in the day, TP Mazembe beat Pyramids 2-0 at the Stade TP Mazembe to march on in the competition, with Christian Koffi (33′) and Jefu Kitambala (44′) scoring the all-important goals after the first leg finished goalless.

Meanwhile, Al Ahli Tripoli came out on top against Al-Ittihad in an all-Libyan affair as Ayoub Ayed’s 19th-minute goal at the Martyrs of February Stadium settled the tie following a 0-0 draw in the first leg.

RS Berkane completed the quartet after they clinched a 1-0 victory over 10-man Al Masry at the Stade Municipal de Berkane in the early hours of Monday morning to advance on the away-goals rule.

The Oranges Boys had lost the first leg 2-1, but a seventh-minute penalty from Youssef Elfahli in the second leg tied the aggregate score at 2-2 and the away goal in Alexandria was enough to book their passage into the semis.

CAF Confederation Cup results:

TP Mazembe 2-0 Pyramids – TP Mazembe won 2-0 on aggregate

Orlando Pirates 1-0 Simba – 1-1 on aggregate, Pirates won 4-3 on penalties

Al Ahli Tripoli 1-0 Al-Ittihad – Al Ahli Tripoli won 1-0 on aggregate

RS Berkane 1-0 Al Masry – 2-2 on aggregate, RS Berkane won on away goals
