For a long time now, the bradit guides through there bradt guide book have talked and praises Uganda as one of the best Countries. However, never ranked us the best travel destination at all.

The agency places Uganda behind Switzerland, Antarctica and the Falkland Islands, and ahead of Madagascar (5th) and Zanzibar (7thoi[o), the only African destinations featured in the top 13 destinations of 2024.

Uganda also beats popular global destinations like Greenland, Scandinavia & Iceland, Lithuania, Devon, Miami, Grenada, Hokkaido, and France.

Uganda is blessed abundantly with a little bit of everything the world had to offer aside from the snow. We are open arms welcoming all our guest and travel partners.

Why Uganda in Africa, by Bradt guides.

Uganda Gorilla Safari

The mountain Gorillas. Uganda is a home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas in Explore Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and mount Mgahinga gorilla national park, home to endangered mountain gorillas, offering a rare chance for intimate encounters.

Along the longest river in Africa, the Murchison Falls at the Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge, creating a surging cascade, of the longest water falls in Uganda along with its sister uhuru falls. The falls are surrounded the some of the rarest wildlife encounters, quite a number of lions and other cats as well as slumbering in gorgeous lodges.

With the help of communities and conservation organizations, Ugandan national parks have increased their numbers in wild life. In Queen Elizabeth National Park for example, go on safari to see lions, elephants, and even unique tree-climbing lions in Ishasha.

Above all the unimaginable love and friendliness from the persons of Uganda. Ugandans have ever been ranked the friendliest country in the whole world this has been pass on to everything that Uganda has to offer. From the busy markets of Kampala to the rich traditions of local an touched tribes and cultures, it’s time that more people added Uganda to their list of the best places to travel in 2024 including the bradt guides.

At the beginning of 2024, Uganda is hosted the third South Summit, designed to boost South-South cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, sustainable development and climate change. The nation is gearing up with state-of-the-art conference facilities and the emergence of new 4-star and above hotels in Kampala and its surroundings.

bradit guides

Aside from the Bradit guides,Uganda’s high tourism ranking is in line with many other rankings in recent times:

  • CNN listed Uganda as one of the best tourist destinations in 2023.
  • National Geographic picked Uganda as one of the best travel destinations in the world.
  • The New York Times listed Uganda as one of the 33 locations in the world to consider when planning travel.
  • Lonely Planet, in 2012, named Uganda as one of the best countries to visit.
  • UNESCO, in 2012, declared Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda as one of the best birding destinations in the world.

Traveling to Uganda even though it is a landlocked country has been made easy in the past few years. Coming to Uganda involves flights as the only entry when hot in neighboring countries. From major airports like London Heathrow or Gatwick to Entebbe International Airport, you will definitely need to fly.

However when you are in the neighboring countries of Kenya , Rwanda, Tanzania and Congo you can enter by road, the water transport cam only be used by those countries sharing with Uganda a fresh water boy of Lake Victoria as well as the River Nile.

The best time to visit Uganda is during its dry seasons: from December to February and June to September. These periods offer ideal conditions for wildlife viewing and gorilla trekking while minimizing rainfall and muddy trails. However the rain patterns have completely changed that rains are even in January, talk to your travel partner about this before you make a booking.

See you in Uganda 2024
