From July 2024 onwards the Sand River Gate between Kenya and Tanzania is going to have immigration services!

This area, where Instinct of the Mara and Cottars are located, is exclusive and gorgeous with no other vehicles in sight (and Instinct has special permission to conduct night drives and walks in the reserve beginning in June 2024).

Guests will also be able to obtain a visa at the Tanzanian border and go for game drives in the Tanzania!

This area is perfect for the wildebeest migration in July and October / November.

    Stay well,

    Ultimate Africa President
“I first visited Africa in the late 1980s. I came face to face with a wild elephant, and fell in love with being on safari! I made it my goal to create an African travel company that was all about authentic wildlife experiences. Many years later we are one of the top African travel companies in the Americas – known for arranging custom safaris to East and Southern Africa; personal trips, no cookie cutter stuff.”
