BBC Lifestyle’s new property-reality series, Listing Mauritius offers viewers a glimpse into breathtaking Mauritian properties

Listing Mauritius cast left to right: Nawsheen Herburrun, Grahame Diedericks, Mridula Sembhoo, Manon Duez, Rinie Boshoff, Samuel Alladee, Viviane Jeetah.

Following the success of Listing Jozi and Listing Cape Town, BBC Studios’ lifestyle channel in Africa, BBC Lifestyle, brings you a brand-new series – Listing Mauritius. The 10-part series starts on Wednesday 16th October at 20:00, exclusively on BBC Lifestyle, DStv Channel 174. Episodes will be repeated Thursdays at 17:00 and available on DStv catch-up. Mauritius is known for its breathtaking beaches, luxury resorts, amazing tropical weather and diverse culture, but over the past few years, the island has fast become a haven for foreign property investors from all over the world, including South Africa.

“We have been mesmerised by the beauty and splendour that Mauritius offers; in its people and in the diversity of luxury properties that we got to see. We can’t wait for BBC Lifestyle audiences to watch this series” says Nico Nel & Trevor Kaplan, producers of Listing Mauritius.

Listing Mauritius will allow DStv audiences to step inside the luxury properties on offer on the vibrant volcanic island off the south-eastern coast of Africa, from 12-sleeper boutique hotel villas to beachfront penthouses. The 10-part series will follow a brand-new set of real estate agents as they do all it takes to sell the multi-million Mauritian homes.

“BBC Lifestyle offers a feast of feel-good, inspirational shows, from enticing cooking and celebrity chefs, home improvement tips to our quality line-up of local programming. I am so pleased to expand our local offering with this new production, this time showcasing the luxury homes in Mauritius, and give viewers more of what they love with new seasons of Listing Cape Town and Come Dine With Me South Africa coming next year,” Pierre Cloete, the Commercial Director at BBC Studios in Africa.

Meet the Agents

Nawsheen features in episodes 1-3 of Listing Mauritius.

Viviane features in episodes 4-10 of Listing Mauritius.

What to expect from the first five episodes

  • Episode One – Where Do I Sign?

Situated off the south-east coast of Africa, this luxury island has always been a haven for holiday makers. More recently, property investors from all over the globe are flocking to Mauritius in the hopes of securing their little portion of paradise. Meet the luxury real estate agents that is making this happen.

  • Episode Two – The Sea, The Life And Earth

The Listing Mauritius agents discover a few brand new luxury listings on the island, ranging from West Coast villas and penthouses to a magnificent boutique hotel on the East Coast.

  • Episode Three – If At First You Don’t Succeed, Show Them More Houses

Samuel continues with his marathon penthouse showing on the West Coast, Rinie throws Manon into the deep-end and Grahame continues to learn the ways of doing business on the island.

  • Episode Four – West Is Best

While some agents feel that the west of the island is the best place to list properties, some of the other Listing Mauritius agents explore the valuable north for opulent luxury property listings.

  • Episode Five – Transported Back Into The 1800’s

Rinie & Manon take a trip into the 1800’s when they visit a property in the capital of the island in Port Louis and Viviane gets to see a brand new property on the market in Point D’zure in the north of Mauritius.

Don’t miss the premiere of Listing Mauritius on Wednesday 16th October at 20:00, exclusively on BBC Lifestyle, DStv Channel 174. Catch-up Thursdays at 5pm on BBC Lifestyle or any day on DStv catch-up.
