Your edges, commonly referred to as baby hairs, are the most delicate strands on your head. They grow along your hairline. You have to keep them protected to prevent losing them because your edges help to frame your face. When your protective style is too tight your edges will be damaged. Tanzania is home to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, and many other iconic parks. But when is the best time to go on safari in Tanzania? It all depends on the weather, wildlife activity, and the Great Migration. Here is a break- down: June to October – The best season overall The dry season is the peak season for safaris. Wildlife is easier to spot as animals gather around waterholes and vegetation is less dense. The weather is great and chances to spot the big five are higher. The great migration is also witnessed around this time. November to December – The green season and…

To have the freedom to explore South Africa’s most iconic national park, outside of normal operating hours and on foot if walking safaris are your thing, is a luxury almost without price.Kruger Untamed is about more than just a safari – it’s a profound reconnection with the wild. In their camps, nature is not curated or controlled but encountered on its own terms. They exist to preserve the art of true exploration, honour the wisdom of indigenous trackers, and offer an unfiltered experience that leaves no trace on the land but a lasting impact on those who walk it. With…
In this article, I intentionally focus on Jan Tshatshu (also Tzatzoe) to highlight a profound biblical truth: God reaches out to every tribe and culture to fulfil his divine plan. History tells a very mixed, not to mention deficient, story about this 19th century Xhosa man, who mediated between his own people and colonialist powers in South Africa. Part of his story that’s rarely considered is the role he played in God’s promise to gather people from every tribe, tongue and nation into the new heavens and new earth (Revelation 7:9-10). God reaches out to every tribe and culture to…
Defending champions Remo Stars began their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title defense with a bruising 1-1 draw against last season’s runners-up Rivers United on Friday evening at their temporary home, the M.K.O Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta. It was an evening of mixed emotions for head coach Daniel Ogunmodede, who marked his 100th game in charge of the Sky Blue Stars. What should have been a dream milestone nearly turned sour when former Remo player Aniekeme Okon silenced the Abeokuta crowd with a towering header; ironically from one of the shortest men on the pitch, just three minutes into the…
By looking at these species, you’re not just looking at a representation of an East African landscape but a metaphor for abstract emotions that Musoke hints at in her visceral vicissitudes of a pack of dogs violently tearing apart a prey. Wambui Wa Mwangi on the work of the Ugandan artist Theresa Musoke, who lives in Kenya. Dancing with the trees, 1990s, mixed media on canvas Time, perception, image From vivid to muted sky blues and hints of green. Abstract Digitization of land records in Kenya represents a particular moment in smart city strategies to enable rationalization and standardization. In many ways, it represents a linear, technology-driven approach, very much informed by the tenets of modernization theory. The embedded assumption here, that socio-cultural practices and emotional ties around land can be eclipsed by the intended certainty and linear rationality represented by digitation, is misguided. The paper explores two dimensions of these tensions. One, literature on land in Kenya, foregrounds the role of the state as power broker in land exchanges, often to the detriment of the urban poor. Thus,…
