Gorilla Tips by a Senior Traveler

Seeing Gorilla in the wild is definitely one of the best African safaris for seniors. “First, my husband and I loved it, and second so will everyone looking for beauty in nature. Since we normally climb mountains and love nature, it was such a GREAT experience for us.

Uganda is a little higher elevation and more uphill climbing but for some people going on tours for over 60s, that is relatively a piece of cake. Our walk was 6 miles in and out ( I had my iPhone with me that day so it tracked it) and while I run 5 miles the elevation was a bit tricky but the experience was worth the effort. We saw the chimpanzee the day before and it was so cool too. Uganda has some beautiful parks so it is worth a week “

Summary

Gorilla trekking is one of the best ways to see Africa’s wildlife in its natural habitat. It can be an exhilarating experience, especially for seniors looking for a new adventure. Whether you go to Uganda or Rwanda, the gorilla trek is absolutely worthwhile. Opposed to small group tours to Africa, African safari tours for seniors can be tailor-made with a local company.
